This may be the day for Imperialistic, who is selected ahead of Morse and course specialist Jubilee Street, while Kirkby's Treasure is also respected. The last named likes to arrive late on the scene and, as a dual course winner, he can be relied upon to act on the track. Cut in the ground suits him well and he is a solid option for one of the places. He should confirm his superiority over Wyatt Earp, who has not really enjoyed the best of luck this season and has it to do from the top of the weights. Jubilee Street also goes well here and it is noteworthy that he is being kept busy while he is in such good heart. He would not want the ground to come up really testing though and it may be prudent to monitor the weather before getting involved with him. Morse ran a blinder on soft ground at Nottingham last month and shapes as if his turn is not too far away. He would be interesting on the all weather this winter and is worth keeping tabs on whatever happens this afternoon. However, slender preference goes to Imperialistic, who finds herself on a very attractive rating at present. The ground is not an issue with the Karl Burke-trained filly and she is fancied to gain some compensation for a number of near misses this season.
