DIMASHQ is given the vote to land the finale over Harcas and Bijou Dan. The selection has had a largely disappointing season but she bounced back to form at Ripon earlier in the month when she won a handicap in decent style and off her current mark she should have a big chance of following up. Harcas returns to the level after a run over hurdles when he bounced back to some sort of form at Sedgefield. If he can build on that then he could be of interest, but he is better over further than this and for that reason we will take him on. Bijou Dan is another that is dropped in distance but that should not inconvenience him as he has plenty of form over this sort of trip. He also tends to reserve his best form for this track so he has to be considered. Tim Walford's Promise Maker was well beaten at Warwick last time but he is lightly raced and there could be more to come. Prince Samos has yet to prove that he really sees out this trip on the flat and he is hard to fancy, returning us to Dimashq as the pick.
