Summer Dancer won in good fashion at Beverley last week but a 6lb penalty for that success makes this more difficult for the five-year-old and a better bet may be BOLD MARC, who gets the verdict ahead of Jonny Lesters Hair. Tim Easterby's gelding has run to a consistent level of form this season and has been given a chance by the handicapper, who has dropped him 2lbs since his most recent start when finishing a close sixth behind Paraguay at Beverley. Tim Walford's Turn Me On has been in good form and won well over course and distance two starts ago in May but there is a suspicion that the handicapper may now have his measure. Kabis Amigos won well at Beverley last month but was well beaten off his new mark at Musselburgh subsequently and, off the same mark today, he looks readily opposable. Nuit Sombre has a bit to find with Jonny Lesters Hair on running at Beverley when last seen in September but could be of interest on his reappearance. Preference though is for Karl Burke's Bold Marc, who has been running well in defeat in recent starts and he is taken to gain a deserved first success of the season.
