Good Investment and Golden Feather have the best form of those to have raced previously over hurdles but neither makes obvious appeal and this may go to one of the newcomers with Aviation, preferred to Ansells Legacy. The last mentioned is trained by Alan Berry, who does well with his runners here although the son of Charnwood Forest may be a doubtful stayer. Ginger McCain's First Fought has been well beaten on both starts over timber so far, while Champagne Rossini had his confidence knocked when falling on his Stratford debut and has shown little in four starts on the flat since then. Moonfleet ultimately proved to be a disappointing type on the flat and of more interest would be Good Investment, who represents the stable of Pat Haslam that does well with their runners in this grade. However, he does not look to be one of the stable's better juveniles, while Golden Feather has yet to reproduce the pick of his flat form. A chance then is taken on George Moore's hurdling newcomer Aviation, who was claimed out of Richard Hannon's stable after winning at Haydock earlier this month and looks the type to make the grade at this level.
