Vengeur De Guye was entered in a less-competitive race yesterday at Kelso. Halcyon Days is in the veteran stage now but can’t get much lower in the weights and is one of four previous course and distance winners. Miss Amelia beat Pistol Park a couple of lengths here last month and then turned over the odds-on Relkadam at Catterick. She arrives in peak form but so does ARDERA CROSS, who has won three times at Ayr since the turn of the year. Another 4lb rise is not excessive as he did win off a higher mark around this time last year and the stiff finish here should play to his strengths. Sabbathical won here earlier in the month but the visor failed to work again next time at Sedgefield and he gets blinkers today.
