In depth

Verdict

Halcyon Days is in the veteran stage nowadays but won a valuable handicap here last March when 2lb higher in the weights and hasn’t been disgraced the last twice, despite finding the going too testing, though has 12 lengths to find with Relkadam on Wetherby running. The latter is one of a quartet who won last time but Ard Chros’ victory at Ayr came over further and he will be taken on for the lead here. Armattiekan has also been racing over further but he did win over track and trip back in October. TROOPER TURNBULL tackles soft going over fences for the first time over fences and will be suited. He’s had a break since just failing to cope with a similar hefty burden at Newcastle in December.
