Key Decision is given the vote here to put behind a very disappointing effort at Musselburgh last time and while he does provide quite a handful for his riders, he has major claims if re-producing his second placing on his penultimate start. That was a Thirsk maiden, where he battled on tenaciously when headed by the winner Criterion inside the final furlong. That performance is as good as what is on offer. Tsaroxy returns after an eight week break. Although he has tackled hurdling before, the majority of his flat performances were over shorter distances and he does appear pretty one paced when asked for his efforts. La Vecchia Scuola proved herself a revelation in the closing weeks of the NH season with back-to-back victories at the two day Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr. She disappointed in the Swinton Hurdle and perhaps was just feeling the effects of that busy schedule lately. Saluscraggie caused a surprise when landing a Catterick handicap for todays apprentice. She won with a deal of authority although this does appear a tougher event. Key Decision gets the vote to put behind that disappointing handicap debut at Musselburgh.
