Angus Newz is a tentative selection to land the finale for the Newmarket yard of Mick Quinn. Although this five year old mare has yet to score in five attempts this season, she has been running consistently over six furlongs while this five furlongs on rain softened ground should not prove a problem. Course and distance winner Glasshoughton is one that will relish conditions but he remains vulnerable to one with a turn of foot in the closing stages. He's A Humbug final finishing position at York most recently does not exemplify his running as he was bang there inside the final furlong before interference meant he was shuffled back a number of places. The return to five furlongs will suit while Ice Planet deserves repsect given his yard's record in these contests and their current form but the minimum trip may just be on the sharp side. Foxy Music made a pleasing return to action after ten months off at Chester last time and is another that could go well but Angus Newz is given the nod.
