Provided he settles better this time around then Sloop Johnb is worth another chance here, while What A Fella and Port Ronan can also go well. Ths Richard Fahey-trained selection was runner-up on his Redcar debut in May, but has not been seen since being unruly in the stalls and ruining his own chances when back there a few days later. Hopefully his trainer will have had him practicing at home and if so, then the form of his debut run entitles him to be the pick with improvement likely. What A Fella caught a tartar in South Central here last time, and while the winner was in a race of his own, Anne Duffield's colt beat everything else that day. Admittedly it was nothing to get too carried away about, but at least he is well and handles the track, so he can probably make the frame again. Port Ronan tries softer ground for the first time and has shown fair form in three Doncaster maidens so far. With a US dirt-running sire he will hopefully handle this slower ground and can get involved. Suzie Quw is bred to sprint and hails from an in-form yard, so don't discount her, while Laahig is another newcomer to keep an eye on in the market, but preference today is for Sloop Johnb.
