This should chiefly concern Unexplored, Royal Coburg and Nevada Red, and we take Royal Coburg to justify the long trip north for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard. The selection probably achieved the best level of form of any of these to have run when running third behind the easy winner Neptune Collonges at Chepstow on debut. He is sure to come on for that outing, handles plenty of cut, and looks booked for a better effort here. Unexplored also put up an excellent debut run when beaten by High Day at Hexham earlier in the month, although the two length margin did flatter him. Another who is certain to improve, he acts with cut in the ground and can go close. Nevada Red has been brought along steadily by the McCain stable and that almost yielded a first win here over course and distance last time. There still looks to be more to come, and with conditions to suit, he can also make the frame again. Of the remainder, Sotovik looks very interesting on debut, having won two bumpers here, and market confidence may well be significant. But Royal Coburg looked the type to improve on a decent debut, and he can score.
