Inchcape Rock has an obvious chance dropped down into this grade and is taken to open his account at the main expense of Strathtay and Compton Quay. The last mentioned showed promise at Fontwell two starts ago but disappointed at Wincanton last time and may be best watched at present. Darko Karim appreciated the drop to this to this class when a fair sixth behind Zando at Leicester but this looks tougher. Arno River and Jamaaron have shown only a modicum of ability and of greater interest is Strathtay, who holds Darko Karim on running at Leicester and had shown respectable form in better company prior to that. Inchcape Rock was not surprisingly outclassed in a Grade 2 race at Cheltenham last time but a reproduction of earlier form should be more than adequate to see off his main rivals here.
