It might be worth chancing MOROCCHIUS in this finale with Aussie Blue and Fathey likely to provide the stiffest opposition. Julie Camacho's gelding is now 5lb higher than when winning two races in August last year and he looks of interest on his third start this year. The cheek-pieces are dispensed with but Dale Swift is worth his 5lb claim and the duo can team up for victory. Emirate Isle is a course and distance winner but the blinkers will have to have a huge impact, Eastern Hills has more suitable conditions on this return to action with cheek-pieces applied, whilst Aussie Blue will be more at home on this uphill finish than at Thirsk last time out. Fathey is better than his latest effort suggests but the handicapper grants no leeway, Custard Cream Kid is a different proposition off a mark of 55, whilst Desert Hunter is one of the more consistent in the race and he runs this track well. There is nothing as good as Cheers For Thea in this race so a bold bid is expected. Hettie Hubble is not discounted after a solid Catterick third (form tested by Dispol Kabira in the 4.15 race) however we are happy to plump for Morrochius as the selection.
