Verdict

Platinum Charmer lost no caste in defeat behind the well treated Arms Acrossthesea at Redcar last week and looks worth abet to go one better today, with Hearthstead Dream and Spitting Image rated the main dangers among the limited opposition. Mark Johnson's Hearthstead Dream may improve for the step up in trip, and is bred to do so, but recent form is of concern. He makes more appeal than the other three-year-old Quarry Island. Spitting Image has been running with some consistency in handicaps of late and warrants respect dropped in class but Platinum Charmer is more than capable of giving weight and beating to his three rivals and gets the vote to do so.
