      Verdict

      Good things have been expected of Whoshotthesheriff and Marown but the wheels seem to have come off the former since a pleasing winning reappearance and the latter pulled up last month on a first start for over 300 days. Consequently, the jury is very much out and the market may prove the best indicator. In view of those question marks, The King Of may be a safer option in that he's a course winner and didn't run too badly last time, but his overall profile is not overly reliable either. Tonto's Spirit reserves his best for Cartmel and whilst DEFI SACRE has been below form, he is down to a feasible mark of 122 and Brian Hughes is booked. He's a hopeful shot.
