MALPAS (NAP) has been shrewdly placed by Donald McCain to land two of six starts this term, both over course and distance, and is hard to oppose with trip and conditions to suit despite having to concede weight all round. He's a smooth traveller and remains open to further improvement. Cockney Beau has shown promise over timber, wasn't disgraced when a fair Wetherby third latest and now makes his handicap bow receiving 9lb from the selection. Augharue's form appears to have levelled off at present and Snowy Clouds has shown little since landing his sole point-to-point. He may prove better in time.
