In depth

Verdict

A good race to conclude the card, and Burley Firebrand is just selected ahead of Time To Regret and Blanco. Mark Wallace has booked Kevin Darley for Blanco, a consistent type who could make his presence felt once again. Time To Regret has been running well of late and finished third in an apprentice handicap at Beverley last time. He is likely to be thereabouts once more, while Lunar Leader steps out of claiming grade and has to be considered and Call Of The Wild is another with claims. However, we prefer to side with Burley Firebrand, who reportedly raced lazily last time when scoring at Musselburgh and appeals as the type to progress and stay ahead of the handicapper. The James Given stable is in excellent form, and Burley Firebrand is fancied to land the double here under Dean McKeown.
