Mazzareme can make the most of the weight that he receives from Classic Capers to beat that rival, with Villon an interesting debutante. Nicky Richards has a promising string of young horses this season and Mazzareme will no doubt pay to follow when sent over timber. In the meantime he is taken to step up on his third here in February when he stuck to his task really well in the straight. He will know a bit more now and and is expected to go close. Classic Capers was not disgraced under a penalty at Newcastle, but the fact remains that he is vulnerable again under his burden. Len Lungo teaches them well so Villon who is out of a Deep Run mare, can make his presence felt. Any money for Lord Rodney would be interesting as well, but on form, Mazzareme looks the part in the finale.
