Hallrule improved a great deal last time and is taken to prove that was no fluke, with Broadgate Flyer, Red Perk and Southerndown others in with a shout. Hallrule is expected to pay his way over fences now that he has progressed from winning a couple of point-to-points, and although the contest that he won at Hexham was by no means strong, he will be suited by today's trip and ground. Connections also feel that going right-handed will help, and the fact that he runs in preference to the stable's other entry On The Luce is encouraging. Broadgate Flyer was a beaten favourite last time and has topweight to overcome, while Red Perk still has a bit to learn. Southerndown, who also left the money in the bookies satchels last time, is far more experienced and comes from a stable in a bit of form. He then may give the selection most to do, but we shall stay loyal to Hallrule who has plenty more to offer in this sphere.
