Tribal Dispute gets a tentative vote over the likes of Cyborg De Sou, Charlies Memory and Powder Creek in a race not to get too heavily involved in. The jumping ability of quite a few of these leaves a lot to be desired, including the last two named, but Tribal Dispute has got round safely in both starts over fences so far, at Wetherby and more recently here at Carlisle where he was a one-paced fourth to Through The Rye. That was over two miles so the step up in trip should suit Tim Easterby's charge who has always been thought of as a chaser in the making. Cyborg De Sou was tailed off when pulled up at Doncaster last time but had earlier shown some promise when second over fences at Sedgefield. He does not make as much appeal as the selection though, and nor does Charlies Memory who is still a maiden and who came to grief early at Catterick. Harry Hooly in turn looks held by Cyborg De Sou on Sedgefield running, and it may be that Powder Creek will provide the main danger. Keith Reveley's charge has taken time to come to hand but is expected to pay his way over fences. The drop back in trip should not be problem, and it will not be long before he adds to his winning record. On this occasion though, Tribal Dispute may have his measure.
