CANDELISA seemed nailed on to win a decent pot after making a cracking Pontefract reappearance but remains winless this term. Nevertheless, she's been in fine form the last twice at Newcastle and especially at York and can gain due reward here. Further rain would be favourable on the evidence of that Pontefract performance. There are dangers a-plenty, including Carlisle Bell winner, Edgar Balthazar who can easily be forgiven his last run, his nicely weighted stablemate Argaki and Father Bertie who has returned to decent form the last twice and has every chance on those improved performances. Le Chat D'or and Jacbequick are also noteworthy but the main danger may well come from Loaded. Andrew Balding's progressive three-year-old produced his best run to date when scoring at Kempton last time and it's a reasonable assumption that he has more to offer after only six starts. Rob Hornby also claims a valuable 3lb.
