tracked leader, ridden over 1f out, no extra and lost 2nd place inside final furlong
tracked leaders in 3rd, ridden entering final furlong, soon chased winner, kept on and always held
in rear and in touch, ridden over 1f out, soon weakened, eased inside final furlong
Almost certainly best to see how the market resolves itself before taking the punting plunge here with Mark Johnston fielding half the field. Jockey bookings are no aid at this stage either with Fanning and Norton booked and a modest preference at this stage for Time To Study, a son of Derby winner Motivator, is purely superficial. Karl Burke's Kuraka, a son of Cacique, also needs a check alongside The Blues Master but at this stage CUTTIN' EDGE is the choice after showing plenty of dash when caught in the shadow of the post at Ffos Las on debut. Maybe he can put that valuable experience to good use against the unraced trio.
