Rare to see City Ground not contesting an amateur riders' contest with Serena Brotherton aboard and he faces quite a task here under topweight as none of nine Flat successes have been achieved with soft in the going description. That may prove a difficult fact to change and INTALZA makes more appeal from the foot of the weights. The Herrington filly totes a 6lb penalty for a convincing Hamilton success last time, prior to which she landed a handicap at this venue with some ease. A soft ground Redcar handicap winner earlier in the campaign, she can continue her upward curve here. Percy Verence is interesting off this mark on handicap debut although the reliable San Cassiano, a last-time winner, and the interesting Eez Eh with only six starts to his name, look more likely sorts.
