Native City was not beaten far on his reappearance at Towcester last month and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding has to be respected but a better bet in a poor contest looks to be Blue Rising, who gets the vote over Devils And Dust. The last mentioned is entitled to strip fitter for his recent return at Towcester and has to be respected, as does Apsara who showed improved form at Sedgefield last time. Heather Dalton's Belledesaro is less exposed than most of these and could improve sufficiently to trouble the judge, while Double Ells made an encouraging return at Towcester last month and would have claims if improving again on that performance. The vote though goes to Ferdy Murphy's Blue Rising who has shown a respectable level of form in both starts this term and would not need to improve much on those showings to land what seems a weak contest.
