Expensive Art is taken to come good over Karmest, Ishibee and Missus Molly Brown. Expensive Art looked like one to follow when a close second on his Southwell bow in April but has failed to build on that in two subsequent outings. However, he now starts life in handicap company off a mark of 57, and in the belief that he has been hiding his light under a bushel, we shall put him forward as the answer. Karmest also contests his first handicap off a slightly lower mark than the selection, and is also dropped back in trip yet again. Judged by the way that he ran out of steam over seven furlongs at Southwell last time when eventually third, that could be a shrewd move by connections, and he can figure in the finish as well. Ishibee has slipped down the weights and caught the eye behind subsequent winner Rainbow Bay at Catterick recently, while Missus Molly Brown would perhaps be better served by another furlong based on her last outing at Ayr where she kept on for third. They appear to be the main players, with preference for Expensive Art.
