Richard Fahey's Lord Aeryn lacks a previous run this term and has not been seen since winning an Epsom handicap in October but that should not be a problem given the form of the stable so he has to be respected off just a 3lb higher mark than at Epsom but he will need to spot on for this to get the better of SKYFIRE, who looks the one to beat with the main danger rated as Transmit. Tim Easterby's gelding was narrowly beaten over six furlongs at Doncaster last month and should not be inconvenienced by the longer trip today so has to be strongly considered. Paul Midgley's Dazeen has run better in recent outings but the handicapper has punished him for his consistency, while David Barron's Kielder is likely to find this tougher than the Pontefract maiden that he won last time. Parvaaz is lightly raced after just three starts and there may be more to come from the Michael Jarvis-trained colt but there needs to be as he was well held first time in a handicap at Newmarket last month and a better bet looks to be Skyfire. Mark Johnston's colt has not been out of the first two in his last four starts and can race off the same mark as when narrowly beaten at Newmarket by Nosedive last week.
