Proceedings come to a halt with a race that is no better than selling class and Lady Lenor may prove the answer with Night Market, Santiburi Lad and Spitfire Bob the likeliest alternatives. The selection remains a maiden but put up one of her best efforts last time when a staying-on runner-up in a Redcar seller over seven furlongs. The step up to a mile should suit this daughter of Presidium who has fair prospects of finally opening her account under a useful apprentice. Night Market is a consistent sort, who landed back-to-back wins at Beverley and Pontefract in April, and should give another good account despite creeping up the weights. Santiburi Lad is fairly treated on the pick of his form but is on a longish losing sequence and has to overcome an absence of over ten months while Spitfire Bob is well treated compared to his all-weather form but has yet to reproduce his best on turf.
