Few boast solid recent form in another moderate contest and a tentative vote goes to Ardent Lady while Miami Explorer, Lara Bay and Ellovamul look best of the remainder. Ed Dunlop's charge is still a maiden but remains unexposed and showed a little promise on her handicap debut in better company at Newbury last month to suggest she should prove competitive at this level. Miami Explorer failed to last home over a mile-and-a-half last time and will prove better suited by this shorter trip so enters calculations from a low weight, particularly with her stable in such good form at present. Lara Bay cut little ice in a hot Kempton maiden on her seasonal return but will be sharper for the outing and may prove capable of better on her handicap bow. Ellovamul was in good form on the all-weather this winter but returns from a five-month break and has to prove as effective back on turf.
