A typically open Showcase sprint but Victoria Park appears to have solid credentials and is taken to score while Bahamian Belle, The Spook and Petite Mac are others to consider. The David Nicholls-trained filly makes her handicap debut on a lowly mark having shown a respectable level of form when a close fourth behind a well regarded rival at Redcar last time. The lightly raced daughter of Victory Note looks capable of further progress and has a favourable high draw so should go close here under Adrian Nicholls. Bahamian Belle stepped up on previous efforts for the fitting of first time blinkers when running creditably in a fair Doncaster maiden last time but may struggle to concede 10lb to the selection. Jim Goldie has his yard in excellent fettle at present so The Spook will have his share of supporters particularly after his placed effort in a Hamilton handicap on his latest start while Petite Mac shaped encouragingly last time and can go close off her current mark.
