Verdict

ROCKET ROB is preferred to Cavendish Road and Perfect Class. Motor Home and Arctic Freedom hail from in-form yards and can be given a chance on the pick of their form but both are in danger of becoming disappointing so are passed over and the field can quickly be whittled down to a handful of realistic contenders. Perfect Class will benefit from David Probert's claim as she has looked held by the handicapper; she's a consistent sort but struggles to get her head in front and could well find one or two too strong. The recent signs from the Muir stable have been more encouraging and Cavendish Road (who isn't badly handicapped) could well run a big race having posted an encouraging effort on his first start since the start of May. However, marginal preference is for Rocket Rob who was scoring for the fourth time when staying on strongly to win at Yarmouth. He's been raised 3lbs for that nose success but the runner-up went on to score stylishly on his next start so he still looks well handicapped and Rocket Rob can prove that by completing his double.
