Lancaster Lad won this race last year but was desperately disappointing last time so we'll opt for BATHWICK PURSUIT ahead of Proud Junior. Lancaster Lad is more than capable of going close but he has something to find at the weights and trailed home in last place in a mile handicap at the track just seven days ago. Lady Florence is one of the more consistent performers in the field having gone well in the same handicap as Lancaster Lad last week but she has yet to win a race in twenty one attempts and may have to settle for a minor role once more. Maddy and Cash In The Attic aren't forlorn hopes whilst support for La Belle Joannie would be of interest but it may be best to concentrate on Proud Junior and Bathwick Pursuit. The booking of Ryan Moore takes the eye for the Callaghan runner and he may be able to step up on the form of his three runs in maidens but David Evans is a force to be reckoned with at this level and has booked a jockey who rides this track well. The colt takes a marked drop in trip and has generally been well held but he has an obvious chance in this company and it would be no surprise to see Bathwick Pursuit take it.
