Lucayos is a sporting bet to overcome top weight, while in-form rivals Misaro and Divinsky will not make life easy. Divinsky won a modest handicap at Kempton on his penultimate start and was far from disgraced when second behind Who's Winning at Folkestone earlier this month. The weights suggest a reversal of form and, with this undulating track not likely to pose many problems, a bold run is expected. Similar comments apply to Misaro, who has won his last three starts convincingly. A career highest mark will put his resolution to the test but, as he has never been in such great heart, he cannot be confidently ruled out from landing a four-timer. Nevertheless, Lucayos has been holding his own against stiffer opposition of late and it may simply be a case of him being capable of giving weight to lesser individuals on this occasion. As a previous course winner, Brighton holds no fears for Lucayos and he looks an ideal partner to help 7lb claimer Kylie Manser to make her mark today.
