In depth

Verdict

This should prove a helter-skelter attraction with the maximum 16 runners careering around Brighton, five of whom are 10 years or over in the line-up. Shifting Star proved the fires still burn brightly when scoring last time and now makes his 158th start in public, although the outside draw may not make life easy for him. Kaaber and With Approval finished one-two here last time and there should be little between them once again but SHARP OPERATOR displayed a pleasing turn of foot to score here when last seen and will be hard to keep out of the frame if repeating the dose. He is partnered by William Carson who rides this track particularly well and the combination can defy a 3lb rise for that recent impressive victory.
