If ROUGH ROCK can repeat the form of his last win at this altogether different track he'd look banker material; we're prepared to take a chance on him going well here, in the process accounting for Sultans Way, Sermons Mount and Royal Acclamation. Our selection won on the bridle at Folkestone last time, his third career success. As that contest was restricted to apprentice riders he's able to run off the same mark of 53 and as Chris Dwyer's runners are going well there's little reason to desert him, especially as he has gone close to winning here before. Sultans Way takes a very slight drop in trip as connections bid to enhance his record of one win from 11 starts. Having made most until headed inside the final furlong over further last time there's every chance this trip change will help him and, off the same mark, he's entitled to go close with ground conditions to suit. Sermons Mount remains a maiden after 17 starts but is very consistent and deserves to pick up something, however he's up against a couple of more interesting rivals and is overlooked along with Royal Acclamation, although the latter may improve for the first-time blinkers. Similar comments apply to Haasem who needs a market check representing John Jenkins, whilst Yakama would be of more interest were this over a mile. Yourgolftravel Com needs a market check as the feeling is there's a race in him, but at this stage we like the chances of Rough Rock who gets our confident vote.
