Verdict

In a weak maiden STUNNING IN PURPLE looks the percentage call to beat Johnny Hancocks and newcomer Vivre La Secret. Andy Haynes has been struggling for winners of late but plenty of his horses have been going well including our selection, who narrowly failed to make all at Lingfield on her debut. This contest looks no stronger and with improvement likely she gets the vote to beat Johnny Hancocks, who did well on his debut having shown distinct signs of greenness and being set plenty to do. He's related to winners around this trip, some of them as juveniles, and there should be a small race in this colt. Vivre La Secret isn't bred to be particularly speedy but the rest of these seem to have their limitations and Bill Turner's filly doesn't need to be special to go close on her debut. She's related to winners over further but her trainer does well with sprinting juveniles and a market check is required to assess her chance. Addock And Egg showed next to nothing on his debut but he's related to some speedy sorts and Tom Dascombe should get the best out of him in time whilst Prophet In A Dream represents last years winning yard and wasn't unbacked on his debut. This is a tough race to call but Stunning In Purple shaped like a future winner on her racecourse bow, so Andy Haynes' filly gets our vote.
