City Stable is sure to improve with more time and a longer trip, however his class could see him through today and he gets the nod ahead of Dandy Erin, the aptly-named Downhiller and Oberlin. A runner-up on his two starts to date, the pick of Sir Michael Stoute's duo is City Stable. He was given too much ground to make up last time out but assuming that he is held in a more prominent position down the Brighton hill then he should be capable of playing a hand in the finish, before going on to better things next year. Downhiller is another to have found just one too good on his last two outings and John Dunlop's colt may find this less demanding track more suitable than Pontefract last time. Driven is a potential improver after just one promising run, whilst Iron Cross looks one for handicaps next season. Oberlin already shapes as if he needs a mile and a half, whilst Yaddree's form looks very solid and he must be respected from his inside berth. At a price Muharjam could go well in first-time blinkers, however City Stable is given the nomination to make it third time lucky.
