Cornus comes here in top form but there is a nagging doubt over whether the track will suit and so we will instead plump for Calabaza ahead of Obe Gold and Cosmic Destiny. The selection won over the minimum trip here a week ago but he is equally effective over this extra furlong. He has form on varying ground and from a good draw he looks sure to run well. Cosmic Destiny also goes well here but he is better over the minimum trip these days and thus is passed over, along with Tamino who is in good form but may prefer the ground a tad quicker than the forecast good ground. Cornus is an obvious threat as he won with something in hand but both his recent wins have come on flat tracks, whilst Obe Gold looks a danger. He showed that he may be on his way back with a win last time out and still well-handicapped on old form, this classy sort should not be underestimated. At a price Transcend could go well but he doesnt appear to be the most genuine of horses, and so we will return to Calabaza as the nomination.
