Verdict

Montjeu Baby can make the most of her light weight, with Creek Dancer, Daisys Girl and Whatatodo seen as the main dangers. Sylvester Kirk had a winner on Monday with Trafalgar Bay, and Montjeu Baby is taken to add to the tally by making amends for a very narrow defeat over 10 furlongs here nine days ago. She raced much too keenly in the blinkers that day, and with the aids left off and a drop back in trip to help, she can go one better under John Egan. Creek Dancer was caught right on the line in a Yarmouth claimer a fortnight ago and although this is slightly harder, she deserves to be involved on latest form. Daisys Girl meets the selection on the same terms as when beaten a total of eight lengths the time before last and will do well to turn the tables, while Whatatodo is worth a mention at least, having finished a good second at Folkestone in July. In fact, Michael Bell's filly is thrown in on the basis of her nursery success off a mark of 62 here last July, and can go close under Hayley Turner who is riding well at present. However, narrow preference is for Montjeu Baby.
