Alzarma has shown enough placed form to warrant support ahead of some disappointing sorts including Pappy, Vonadaisy and Danescourt to name but three. This selling contest should not take much winning and the booking of title-chasing Jamie Spencer certainly catches the eye on Alzarma. John Gallagher's three-year-old finished a close second behind Sabo Prince in similar company on fast ground at Leicester last time, and although the winner was only rated 35, Alzarma should be capable of going one better today. Vonadaisy is turned out quickly after finishing down the field behind Firework in a Lingfield handicap on Saturday. The drop in grade will help but she is eminently beatable as is Pappy who dropped right away after making the running in a Nottingham claimer last time. Devious Ayers and Danescourt represent Milton Bradley and it is the latter that makes most appeal of the pair. He should handle the fast ground and lines up on the back of a run in a Lingfield maiden. As ever, the market should be noted closely in this type of event, but we are prepared to stick with Alzarma.
