A chance is taken with EAGER TO BOW, who is fancied to confirm superiority over Top Flight Splash and Prince Valentine. Yourgolftravel Com also comes here on the back of a Brighton success and has to be respected. The last named hasn't stood much racing so far but is open to a touch more improvement than most. He does need to prove that c&d success wasn't just a flash in the pan, though. Prince Valentine is a Brighton regular and, having won here four times, he deserves a place on the shortlist. His chance seems to depend on a few of the others having an off-day, however. Top Flight Splash also has a bit to find with the selection but had been in good heart earlier in the season. It is noteworthy that most of his best efforts have taken place on the all-weather surfaces, so he does have a bit to prove back on turf. Having won here convincingly last month, there is no doubt about Eager To Bow handling the nature of this undulating surface and, as a 6lb higher mark may not be enough to stop him in this company; the mount of George Baker is worth keeping faith with again today.
