Yellow Card, Lucayos and Spirit of Coniston form the shortlist for this handicap and the vote is given to Lucayos. The selection looks to have the best draw of the leading fancies and this colt ran well last time when finishing second behind Mannikko. He finished well clear of the rest that day and he looks the one to be with. Yellow Card has been done no favours by the wide draw today but he ran a cracking race at Newmarket on Saturday when finishing fifth behind Rochdale. That was his seasonal reappearance so there may be more to come from him but confidence is tempered by his poor draw. Spirit of Coniston will be suited by the return to the minimum trip and if he could reproduce his effort at Folkestone over this trip last month then he would have a solid chance. Squadron Leader is dropped to this trip for the first time so he may be of interest at an each-way price. However, for the winner we will stick with Lucayos.
