In depth

Verdict

McEldowney,Whispering Death, Tilt and Polish Power are a handful against the field in a competitive opener and the tentative vote is given to McEldowney. The selection won in game fashion last time out when beating Sand Raphael and with the step up in trip also ion his favour he is taken to defy the handicapper under conditions that suit. Whispering Death rates the main danger on his latest second behind Alfred The Great but the suspicion is he may just need the run after a 209 day absence. Tilt is another worthy of respect as he won well last time out when beating First look but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve again to win off this higher mark. Polish Power is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to his best on his latest second behind Saif Sareer. Of the remainder Rocket Force is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but McEldowney is progressive and he is our idea of the winner.
