Verdict

Ornella is our pick in the finale with Camera Shy and Bienheureux the others to make betting appeal. Hughie Morrison's filly does have to give lumps of weight all around but her win at Brighton was not out of turn as the form of her two previous starts in Britain had worked out well. A 6lb rise should not be enough to dent her prospects at this level. Camera Shy is fascinating on a first turf outing. The form of his Lingfield success in June has been hugely boosted by Moonshine Creek and if he takes to the vagaries of the Brighton circuit, he has to have solid claims. Bienheureux is a repeat course winner. Gay Kellaway's stalwart has gone up by a fair old chunk for his two successes this term and others look better treated at the moment. Trysting Grove was fifth in a dire Warwick affair and needs to find more. Sir Liam was rated in the high-70's with Philip Mitchell a year ago and has dropped to a more realistic mark of 57. Makai won a seller at the course two years ago and cannot be ruled out of the places. Under Fire has ran some creditable races at Bath although he is yet to win over any further than a mile. Ornella is proven at this trip and track and she appears difficult to oppose under a penalty.
