Megalala is the selection in this affair with Astrolibra and Orbital Orchid as the dangers. The gelding is a consistent enough sort at this level and while the handicapper has taken note of that; trip and going suit and he is a previous winner at the track. Astrolibra won a handicap at the track off a mark of 51. The bookmakers have had two good results since and useful apprentice, Ashley Morgan's 7lbs could prove valuable come the finish. Orbital Orchid didn't stay 1m4f last time out. Faith And Reason invariably attracts support whenever he runs. Connections try a shorter trip having failed to take an opportunity at Warwick over slightly further. Borrowdale has only had one turf start so its difficult to guess what to expect today. That said, his owners have a 33% strike rate in recent years at this track so the market is accordingly watched. Ex-Mark Johnston inmate, Airbound, cut little ice over hurdles and is returned to the level by Harry Dunlop. The lightly raced Solo River has failed thus far to build on her juvenile promise. Jelly Mo showed moderate improvement in her recent Windsor start. Plenty of plausible winners of this contest and we stick with the ultra-consistent Megalala.
