Verdict

Burgundy and Loves Travelling come out well ahead of the other pair on official ratings and look to have the race between them, with our preference going to Burgundy. A repeat of his third to Pay The Silver at Epsom the time-before-last, gives him a very good chance. The possible downside is that he has yet to win over 12 furlongs and he ran poorly on the only time that he visited this track. That said, he has proven that he handles Epsom and Lingfield so ought to be at home here too. Loves Travelling is lightly raced but must surely be competitive at this level, even though he is unproven at the distance. Fletcher wins in his turn cannot be dismissed from calculations. Blue Streak stays this trip well and was just touched off in a course and distance seller last time. However, overall, he has a bit to find on official ratings, a line of thought that brings us back to Burgundy.
