CANDY ROSE may be able to blossom this year and is selected ahead of the likes of Al Rayanah and Your Golf Travel. Marcus Tregoning is an infrequent visitor to Brighton but he has hit the target with three of his eight runners at the track and that record may well improve as Candy Rose's best performance came at Goodwood which has its similarities. The filly may also benefit from having another year on her back and a stronger pilot in the plate and prove capable of opening her account. She'll have to get the better of some experienced campaigners if she's to do so and they include Djalalabad who wasn't beaten too far behind My Flame here last time and she may benefit from being ridden by Seb Sanders who is particularly effective here. Al Rayanah bounced back to form at Warwick and could go well if handling the track which is of no concern for Mick Is Back who may have needed last month's run at Folkestone. Your Golf Travel was very well backed on debut for this yard in January but narrowly failed to land the money. She lines up from a mark just 3lbs higher and it will be fascinating to see if the money comes for her again. Wrighty Almighty usually runs well here and is no forlorn hope but Candy Rose is taken to give weight and a beating to her rivals.
