Seneschal disappointed here over a mile last time and may do better back to seven furlongs today but he is still 5lbs higher than when scoring at Yarmouth previously and looks as though he may have to settle for minor honours in a race taken to go to SPIT AND POLISH, who gets the vote with Bromhead rated the pick of the remainder. The selection improved from his reappearance run when beaten a nose by Taste Of Honey at Lingfield last month and John Dunlop's gelding has an obvious chance racing off the same mark today back on turf. Polmaily finished last in his final start last term and again on his reappearance at Windsor earlier this month so John Akehurst's gelding looks best watched. Kamanja remains a maiden and has only been placed once in seven starts so is readily discounted as a potential winner, while True Britannia seems a shade high in the weights at present and may be best left out of calculations. Brian Meehan's Bromhead is less exposed than most of these after just five starts so far and could be of interest in a handicap for the first time having been running well in claimers of late but Spit And Polish has solid claims and is taken to give John Dunlop another winner.
