keen, held up, never on terms
never better than mid-division
held up towards rear, ridden and outpaced over 3f out, kept on final furlong, never dangerous
held up, headway 7f out, led halfway, ridden over 1f out, headed close home
chased clear leader, ridden and outpaced over 3f out, kept on from over 1f out
held up, headway 5f out, chased leader over 3f out, ridden inside final furlong, led close home
slow into stride, held up, headway halfway, ridden and went 3rd over 2f out, weakened final furlong
led and soon well clear, ridden and headed halfway, soon weakened
always behind
A poor event with a wide range of jockeyship on view but Aveiro is on a winning mark and is just preferred under his experienced amateur. The son of Darshaan has not been at his best on the all-weather of late but is 3lb lower than his course and distance victory last season and may offer a little value in a difficult event. Joely Green is another who acts well on the track and has to be feared after a profitable campaign on the all-weather this winter while Time To Shine ran well when a staying-on third in a slightly better handicap at Folkestone last time and should give another good account. Silent Memory hails from an in-form yard and has to be respected while Mostarsil has shown enough of late to suggest he remains in good heart and can reach a place.
