Plenty of dead wood in this weak affair and this appears another good opportunity for Al Muallim. Andrew Reid's veteran is a useful performer at this level and comes here in good heart following a decisive claiming win at Lingfield late last month. The nine-year-old is a previous course and distance winner and acts well on fast ground so should prove hard to beat under a useful apprentice. Ball Games is best in at the weights but is on a long losing sequence and is now tried in first-time blinkers after letting favourite backers down in a similar event at Windsor last week. The Gay Fox shaped with a little promise last time and has place claims while Jazzy Millennium is not without a shout on the pick of his form but the penalised Firework has something to find on these terms.
