In depth

Verdict

Tony Carroll has a few with chances on today’s card and THUNDEROAD is another. A recent second at Chelmsford is probably the best form on offer in a modest heat, though he has shown his best form on artificial surfaces so far. Tarrzan has placed in five of six starts here this year so will be hard to keep out of the frame again if staying the extra furlong. Princess Florence is another with a decent record here and could also figure while Rosamour was placed in a better race at Newbury earlier in the summer. It would be no surprise to see Poetic Legacy improve on past performances but that wouldn’t be difficult.
