Verdict
Freckles wasn’t winning out of turn when smoothly landing the odds at Chepstow last week but does now have a penalty to contend with. Escape The City has been thereabouts lately and should be knocking on the door again but LONG CALL came with a withering run under Tom Marquand to collar Alnadir in a higher grade here last month and is only 2lb higher so gets a tentative vote. Ashazuri also warrants a mention as she’s been going well at Epsom and won around here in the spring, though remains 6lb higher. Recent Windsor third King Of The Sand is also a previous course and distance winner but Go Fox has been hard to catch right this term. Final Rock needs more but Trailboss is not out of this if back on-song.
